NEWS RELEASE

The Park University Players will present productions of "Five Women Wearing the Same Dress" and "Bachelor Holiday," both by Alan Ball, on Friday and Saturday, March 23-24, and Friday-Sunday, March 30-April 1, in the Jenkin and Barbara David Theater inside Alumni Hall on the University's Parkville Campus. The curtain rises at 7:30 p.m. for all dates except for Sunday, April 1, which begins at 2 p.m.

"Five Women Wearing the Same Dress," a two-act play, is directed by Andrea Southard, Ph.D., instructor of theater. Janie Peak, instructor of theater, will direct "Bachelor Holiday," a one-act play. Both plays will be performed on each performance date.

"Five Women Wearing the Same Dress" is set in the home of a bride in Knoxville, Tenn., during the afternoon of her wedding reception. During the course of the afternoon, five bridesmaids, through many startling revelations about their pasts, come to realize that, despite their differences, they have more in common with each other than any of them have with the bride. In "Bachelor Holiday," three roommates, who already find it difficult to live with each other, find new grounds for disagreement when they argue about the fate of a mouse caught on a glue trap. Things change when they each look at life through the bottom of a shot glass.
